A Proud Tradition of Excellence
Who is Eligible to Teach

Prospective Participants:
“The goal and purpose of the program is to raise the standard of ballroom dance instruction and offer anyone with the dream of becoming a teacher the opportunity to be trained thoroughly with all the tools necessary to succeed,” says Ballroom Dance Teachers College Founder and Director Diane Jarmolow. “Trainees from all walks of life, ages, backgrounds, careers, body types, etc., attend our program.”

Requirements:  No dance experience necessary.  Anybody 18 or older can join.

Program Class and Location: The classes are held on-site at American Dancesport Center, 23076 Sandalfoot Plaza Dr., Boca Raton, FL 33428

Program Length:
The program teaches one (1) dance in four (4) weeks. Start at the beginning of any new dance.  All dance styles are taught from Beginner Bronze level.

Program Cost:  The cost is $500 a month.  The program group cost makes it much less expensive than learning through private lessons.  The only additional costs are for ballroom dance shoes and DVIDA syllabus manuals.

Additional Benefits:  Enrolled "teachers in training" students are welcome and encouraged to particiate in studio practice parties and scheduled group classes for additional learning and leader/follower practice time.  You can also use the ADC studio for your own personal practice time of lesson material.

Accreditation received: Trainees that successfully complete each dance earn a certificate of completion.  Professional certification is also available through member organizations and examiners of the National Dance Council of America / DVIDA.  Using this teacher training program, along with personal syllabus study and practice, prepares students for the certification exams at the Bronze level.
